Gehry Museum by early 2010

The design technology that was used for this building is similar to that used in Olympic Nest.

The Museum of Biodiversity " Panama: bridge of life", designed by famous Canadian architect Frank Gehry with the support of Bruce Mau Design and the Smithsonian Institute, will open its doors in early 2010.

The construction of the building has an advance of more than 40 % and should be completed in September 2009,reported Amador Foundation (FA), private nonprofit organization that promotes the construction of the museum.





Cabo Signs Lease Agreement With London & Regional (Panama) S.A.

Cabo Drilling (Panama) Corp., a wholly owned subsidiary, of Cabo Drilling Corp.'s (TSX VENTURE:CBE) ("Cabo" or the "Company") has entered into a lease agreement with London & Regional (Panama) S.A., Managers of the Panama Pacifico project in the Republic of Panama. The lease will provide immediate premises for Cabo's Panama division, in an existing structure and new premises, upon completion of its offices in the new International Business Park. Ground breaking for the business park is planned for November 2008.





Indian Temple, the biggest of Central America

On the Ricardo J. Alfaro way, better known as Tumba Muerto, is located the Hindu temple, specifically in front of the Santa Maria district. This compound was opened in 1989 and its the biggest of Central America. There are other similar temples in Panama located in Colon, Herrera and Las Cumbres. The embassy of India estimates that the number of members of this community in Panama rises to 10.000 people. The most numerous lineages or families in Panama are Bhakta, Patel, Sim and others. The Hindustan society of Panama has been established since 1968.





Troops try to thwart simulated Panama Canal attack

ABOARD THE USS TARAWA (Reuters) -Troops from countries across the Americas started a major military exercise on Friday to defend the Panama Canal from an attack by a fictional terrorist group bent on damaging the world economy.

The U.S.-led exercise will pit more than 30 ships, dozens of aircraft and some 7,000 troops over the next week against the Liberation Martyrs' Brigade, an imaginary group with access to nonconventional weapons and perhaps even a nuclear device, officials said.





Copa Airlines Receives Embraer 190 Flight Simulator

Copa Airlines has received an Embraer 190 flight simulator, becoming the first airline in Latin America with both Embraer 190 jet and Boeing 737 Next Generation simulators for pilot training.

"The new Embraer 190 simulator allows all our pilots to receive the best training with the most advanced technology in the industry, without having to travel to other countries," said Pedro Heilbron, CEO, Copa Airlines. NH Hoteles prepares its arrival
